Cookies and local storage

How this website works

The website uses analytics and advertising code only if you allow it. When you first visit, a cookie banner asks whether we may use Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies, with an Accept and a Reject button. Until you answer, the website’s own code sets no cookies and writes nothing to local or session storage, and no Google tag loads. In our check on 31 October 2026, after opening the dinner and show page without answering the banner, the browser held no cookie and no stored data, and the page made no request to any other company’s server. Your choice, the Google tags and the Bókun booking form are described below.

The hosting

The website is hosted by Vercel. During a normal visit the hosting sets no cookies. Vercel’s security service may set a cookie if it suspects automated traffic and shows the visitor a check.

Your cookie choice

When you answer the cookie banner, the website stores your answer (granted or denied) in your browser’s local storage under the name apostolok-consent-3, so that the banner does not appear again. It stays until you change your choice or clear your browser data. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Google Analytics and Google Ads (only if you accept)

If you press Accept, the website loads Google Tag Manager, a service of Google Ireland Limited, and through it Google Analytics, which counts visits and bookings, and Google Ads conversion measurement, which shows whether a booking came from one of our ads. They store the following on this website’s own domain:

• A cookie named _ga and a cookie whose name starts with _ga_ (Google Analytics): they recognise the browser across visits. According to Google’s documentation they expire after 2 years.
• A cookie named _gcl_au (Google Ads): it links visits to ad clicks. In our check on 22 October 2026 it was set to expire after 90 days.
• A local storage entry named _gcl_ls with Google Ads measurement data; in the same check it was also set to expire after 90 days.

Your browser also sends requests to googletagmanager.com, google-analytics.com, google.com and doubleclick.net. Google may set or read cookies on its own domains under its own rules.

If you press Reject, none of this loads and nothing of the above is stored. If you accepted and later choose Reject under Cookie settings, the website deletes the _ga, _ga_ and _gcl_au cookies and the _gcl_ls entry and reloads the page without the tags. See the privacy notice for details.

Dinner and show package (Bókun)

Our dinner and show page embeds Bókun’s booking form (bokun.io). It loads from Bókun’s servers when you press Choose your date; in our check on 31 October 2026 nothing from Bókun loaded before that. The form then uses cookies and other storage under Bókun’s control:

• A cookie whose name starts with bokunSessionId_ on this website’s own domain: Bókun’s booking script sets it, and it identifies your Bókun booking session. In our check on 21 October 2026 it was set to expire after 20 minutes; on 31 October 2026 it was set as soon as the form opened.
• Storage on Bókun’s own domain (widgets.bokun.io). In our check on 21 October 2026, before the setting described next, it held identifiers of Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics and New Relic, and the selected currency.

We have set Bókun not to track until you accept in our cookie banner; according to Bókun, this also covers its own statistics and troubleshooting tools. After you accept, the form passes the booking steps (for example the package you look at and, when you book, the booking number, the amount and the currency) to our Google Tag Manager, which sends them to Google Analytics and Google Ads as described above.

At the payment step Bókun uses the payment provider Stripe, which may use cookies or other storage under its own policies. Bókun’s own rules apply inside the form; see the privacy notice for details.

Table booking (Resos)

The Book a table buttons take you to Resos’s own booking page in a new tab. The website loads no Resos content for this and sets no cookie. On the Resos page, Resos and the services it uses may set cookies or use other storage on their own domains; Resos’s own cookie settings apply there.

External content

The website’s fonts, pictures, videos and own scripts load from its own hosting. The exceptions are the Google tags, only if you accept them, the Bókun form on the dinner and show page, when you press Choose your date, and the My Guide Budapest partner badge on the home page, which loads from images.myguide-cdn.com; in our check on 21 October 2026 this request set no cookie. Apart from the Bókun form, the website’s pages have no content embedded from another provider. External links (Google Maps, Facebook, YouTube, My Guide Budapest) open only when clicked, on their own sites. See the privacy notice for details.
