What dinners can I book at Apostolok?

There are two, every day: the Early Medieval Dinner at 17:00 with a 3-course Hungarian dinner, and the Grand Medieval Dinner at 20:00 with a 5-course Hungarian dinner. Both include unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks, live medieval shows and live medieval music.
How much does it cost?

Only in November, the 3-course dinner at 17:00 is €45 (16 900 Ft) per person instead of €64 (22 900 Ft), and the 5-course dinner at 20:00 is €64 (23 900 Ft) per person instead of €79 (28 900 Ft). Children aged 4–12 pay €38 at 17:00 and €43 at 20:00, children aged 0–3 are free, and guests aged 13 and over pay the adult price. All taxes and the service charge are included.
How long does the programme last?

Both dinners last 2.5 hours: 17:00–19:30 and 20:00–22:30. They run every day, including weekends and holidays. All times are Budapest time.

Is there a separate entrance fee or show ticket?

No. The live shows are part of the price of both dinners, so there is no separate ticket, entrance fee or show fee.
What is in the live show?
+
Live acts perform about every 20 minutes during dinner: sword fighting, a royal jester, a juggler, belly dancers and a snake dancer, with live medieval music.
Are the drinks really unlimited?

Yes. Beer, wine, soft drinks, fruit juices and sparkling and still mineral water from the package are unlimited for the full 2.5 hours. Spirits, cocktails and other premium drinks are not part of the package.
Do you have vegetarian and vegan menus?

Yes, at both dinners. Each dinner has five menus to choose from: pork, poultry, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free.
Can I get gluten-free food, and what about allergies?

Gluten-free menus are available by prior arrangement. Food allergies always need to be arranged with our kitchen in advance, so please note them in your booking.
Can I ask for a different start time?

The dinners start at 17:00 and 20:00, and the programme is the same for every guest.
Is Apostolok good for groups?

Yes. With 340 seats in six separate rooms, Apostolok welcomes friends, families, company dinners and tour groups at both dinners. Groups can visit to see the rooms; exclusive use of a room depends on availability and needs our management's approval.
Is it suitable for children and families?

Yes, families are very welcome, and children love the jester and the juggler. Children aged 4–12 have their own price and children aged 0–3 are free.
Where is Apostolok in Budapest?

Apostolok is at Kígyó utca 4–6, 1052 Budapest, in the city centre (District V, Belváros), right next to Váci Street and one minute on foot from Ferenciek tere metro station (M3). Elisabeth Bridge and the Danube promenade are a 4-minute walk away.
Is Apostolok really from 1903?

Yes. Apostolok has been on Kígyó utca since 1903. The restaurant is in a protected historic building with carved details and the original apostle mosaics that gave the place its name — “Apostolok” means “The Apostles” in Hungarian.
